How do I change my Member Online password?

If you are not logged into Member Online and you don’t know your existing password, please see what to do if you’ve forgotten your password.

If you know your password and want to change it, first use your existing password to log in to Member Online. Then, you need to select the ‘Personal details’ section.

To make sure only you can change your password, we’ll guide you through our two-part identity check known as multi-factor authentication (MFA) first.

Once you’ve completed this identity check, you can choose a new password in line with our password requirements.

Your password needs to have:

  1. At least eight characters
  2. An upper-case letter
  3. A lower-case letter, and
  4. A number

To make your password stronger, we recommend you use at least 12 characters, as longer passwords are harder to crack.

This image shows the ‘Change your password’ page within Member Online. On this page, you need to enter your current password, new password and confirm your new password in the fields provided. A pop-up box lists the requirements for your new password.

Once you have entered your new password, select the ‘Change your password’ button to confirm. If your new password meets our security requirements, you’ll  see a message appear on the screen that you’ve updated it successfully. We’ll also send you an email to confirm that you’ve changed your password.
