This seminar is designed for you if:

  • You’re aged 58 or over
  • You’re planning to retire in two to five years from now
  • You want to learn the basics of retirement planning

If you're just beginning to plan your retirement, this half-day seminar will give you information and general advice on:

  • Super - West State Super, GESB Super and Gold State Super
  • Our retirement solutions - GESB Super, West State Super and Retirement Income Pension (including RI Allocated Pension and Transition to Retirement Pension)
  • Retirement options - an overview of the options you have with your super and the help available from Centrelink

Transition to retirement seminar

This 90-minute seminar is designed for you if:

  • You’re aged 57 and over and are starting to plan your retirement
  • You want to keep working but would like to boost your super, reduce your hours or increase your income

In this seminar, you’ll learn how to use a transition to retirement strategy once you've reached Commonwealth preservation age. This seminar will cover:

  • Exploring the benefits of transition to retirement
  • Accessing part of your super while you are working
  • Using it as a strategy to boost your retirement savings
  • How you can work part time and maintain a full-time salary
  • How transition to retirement affects your final super benefit
  • The tax implications
  • Setting up a Transition to Retirement Pension
