End of financial year contribution processing
28 May 2026
The end of the 2025/26 financial year is fast approaching. To help you meet our processing deadlines, please read the important information below.
Contribution processing deadline
To allow us to process contributions to members' super accounts before the end of this financial year, we need all employer agencies to submit their contribution data file through Employer Online by 5pm on Tuesday, 23 June 2026.
No negative contributions are able to be made
This contribution data file cannot include any negative contributions, unless they are to be processed from 1 July onwards.
What if your agency doesn’t meet the cut-off date?
Employer Online won’t be available after 5pm on Tuesday, 23 June 2026 for contribution submissions. This means that you won’t be able to submit contribution files through Employer Online until it reopens at approximately 9am on Wednesday, 1 July 2026. Please note your employees won’t be able to view contributions made to their GESB account until end of financial year processing has been completed. Our Clearing House will resume remitting contributions to external funds from Wednesday, 1 July 2026.
How will this affect your employees?
If your agency is unable to meet the cut-off date, employee contributions may not be credited to members’ accounts this financial year.
Any after-tax contributions provided to us will not be reported to the Australian Taxation Office for inclusion in an eligible member's co-contribution calculation for the 2025/26 financial year.
