Stop your account from being transferred to the Australian Taxation Office for five years

Use the form below to confirm that you wish for your GESB account to be excluded from the transfer of lost and unclaimed super accounts to the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) for five years.

Non-permanent exclusion form

By submitting this form, you understand that if you do not contact GESB for five years1 and/or you otherwise meet the criteria for lost and unclaimed super, your account could be transferred to the ATO after this five-year exclusion period.

Note: to avoid being identified as a lost account, we recommend that you keep your contact details up to date, including email, postal address2 and contact number. You can do this in Member Online.

Please note: you need to submit this form by 12pm (AWST) on Monday, 12 October 2026.

We’ll send an email confirming this form has been submitted to the address you provide here.

1 You may meet the criteria if you do not make contact with us for five years under the current legislation.
2 Please note: if two pieces of your mail are returned to us or we don’t have a valid email address on file for you, you will be considered ‘uncontactable’ and we will be required by law to report this to the ATO. This may result in your account with us being closed and the balance transferred to the ATO.
