More ways to invest and grow your super

No matter where you are in your career, having control over how your super is invested is important.

That’s why as of 11 June 2026, we’ve introduced changes to give you more flexibility to invest your super the way you choose.

Here’s a summary of the changes for GESB Super, West State Super and Retirement Income (RI) Pension members.

Get to know your revamped investment options

We’ve refreshed the names of your investment options to make it clearer what they offer.

  • Our Readymade plans are now called Diversified options. These are pre-set mixes of different asset class investments.
  • Mix Your plan asset classes are now called Asset Class options. Each option invests in a single asset class.

More choices, less restrictions

You now have more flexibility to build your investment mix with the removal of previous restrictions.

What’s new

You can invest in any combination of investment options, in 1% increments.

For example, you could allocate:

  • 50% to the My GESB Super option
  • 40% to International Shares
  • 7% to Property
  • 3% to Cash

Whatever your goals, timeframe or tolerance to risk are, it’s now easier to tailor your investment mix to your chosen strategy.

Stay on track with automatic rebalancing

If you have multiple options, your investment mix can drift from your original allocation as they go up and down in value.

For example, if Australian Shares grows faster than other assets, they may make up a larger part of your mix than you intended. Over time, this could make your investments riskier.

To stick to a specific asset allocation, you can:

  • Rebalance your mix yourself, or
  • Opt into automatic rebalancing (where we regularly rebalance your mix for you)

What’s new

Automatic rebalancing is now available for all GESB Super, West State Super, and RI Pension members, with any combination of options.

This can help keep your investments aligned with your long-term strategy – and now we can help you do it, no matter which account you hold.
