We’re pleased to invite our members to our 2026 Annual Member Meeting.
During the meeting, you’ll hear from our Board and executive leaders, who will provide an update for the 2024/25 financial year, including:
- How we’ve performed as a fund
- What we’ve achieved for our members
- Our objectives, strategy and outlook for the future
Registrations are open for this online event, which includes the opportunity to ask questions of our Board and executive leaders, before and/or during the meeting.
Please note you’ll need to register if you want to submit a question. If you don’t register, you’ll still be able to attend the meeting, but you can’t ask any questions.
Registrations close on 25 November 2025.

To ask a question, you need to be a GESB member. Please make sure you’ve registered for the event and provided your member number.
We’ll aim to address as many questions as possible during the meeting. Answers to any questions that aren’t discussed will be available on this website after the event.
Meet our Annual Member Meeting speakers
Hear from GESB's Board Chair, as well as updates from our Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer.

Jo Gaines - Chair
Jo was appointed as Chair of the Board in 2021 and is an experienced leader and strategic policy director.
Jo has worked with government, private sector and non-government organisations to drive reforms in a diverse range of fields including job creation, economic diversification, energy, training, child protection, health, contracting and procurement, and climate change. She was a leader in the development of the WA Recovery Plan in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Joann Wilkie PSM - Chief Executive Officer
Joann was appointed Chief Executive Officer of GESB in August 2026. In this role, she is responsible for providing strategic leadership to the organisation and is accountable for achieving GESB's strategic, business, policy and budget objectives, and compliance with legislative requirements.
Prior to joining GESB, Joann served as Western Australia's Under Treasurer. She brings extensive executive leadership experience across the public sector, with expertise in governance, finance, economic policy, and organisational transformation.

Paul Taylor - Chief Investment Officer
Paul leads our Investment team and has overall responsibility for investment governance, investment strategy, asset allocation, portfolio construction and investment monitoring.
He has over 20 years of investment experience with superannuation funds and other institutional investors.

Samantha Henry – Relationship Manager
Samantha has almost 20 years of financial services experience with broad expertise across superannuation, financial strategy and member education.
She guides employers and members through our superannuation products, providing the information and insights they need to make confident decisions around their superannuation and retirement planning.
Samantha will be our MC for the evening.
