When you can access your super

The Australian Government has set rules (known as ‘conditions of release’) about when you can access your super money.

One of these conditions is reaching what’s known as your Commonwealth preservation age. If you are aged 60 or more, you have now reached your Commonwealth preservation age and could be eligible to access your super.

Visit our Accessing your super page for full details of when you can access your super.

Early access to your super

In specific circumstances, such as financial hardship or compassionate grounds, you may be eligible to apply to access your super before you reach preservation age.

You can find out more on our Accessing your super early page.
