Can I set up a passkey if I share my computer or device with someone else?
We don’t recommend setting up a passkey on a device that is not linked to you, such as a computer in a public library. Using a computer at work that someone else uses is also not advisable. You need to be able to access your passkey when you need to log in, so we recommend using a phone if possible – or a device you have with you most of the time.
Note that multiple passkeys can be stored on the same device. When you create a passkey, it will be related to your specific Member Online account, using your username. This means if you have a shared device but more than one account – for example, both you and your partner have GESB accounts but one computer – you can set up two different passkeys on the same shared laptop or desktop computer.
