Super education for WA Police
As the default super fund for the WA public sector, we’ve been looking after the super and retirement savings of WA Police Officers and staff for over 85 years.
We offer a range of services to help you learn about your super and retirement options and several unique benefits for you as public sector employees and/or Police Officers.
Support for Sworn Officers
Medical retirement and tailored Salary Continuance Insurance
From January 2022, Police Officers and Aboriginal police liaison officers who are medically retired due to a work-related illness or injury will be eligible for police compensation.
GESB’s alternative Salary Continuance Insurance (SCI) benefit for WA Police has been designed to be of greater value to Police Officers in the event of a medical discharge.
With the support of the WA Police Union, GESB offers seminars for officers approaching a medical retirement. Please contact the WA Police Union for details regarding any upcoming sessions.
Accelerated contributions
If you’re a Gold State Super member between 45 and 55 years of age and employed as a Police Officer, you can apply to contribute an additional amount. For details, see the Gold State Super essentials brochure.
