What should I do if I am in doubt about any of the log in activity listed in the email I received when logging in from a new location or device?
There are a few things you can do:
- Make sure we have your up-to-date details
Member Online will use your mobile number or email address to send you a one-time security code when you make a change to your account, or if you log in from a different device or location. It’s important that we always have your up-to-date details. It’s also important that you keep your employer updated on any changes to your details so they have the same information we have. - Update your password
It’s good practice to change your password regularly to help keep your account secure. Every time you set a new password, we’ll check the password against a list of easily guessed or compromised passwords. We’ll recommend you choose a different password if your new password falls into one of these categories. Don’t share your password with anyone else or write your password down where someone could get hold of it. Longer passwords are more secure than shorter passwords. We recommend you use at least 12 characters, and preferably something you can remember, with a mixture of upper and lower-case letters and numbers. Some members find it useful to use a password management program to help keep their passwords secure.
