How to choose Mix Your plan

If you decide Mix Your plan is right for you, you can choose any single asset class (listed above), or a mixture in multiples of 5%.

It’s important to understand what is included in each of the Mix Your plan options, so you can make an informed decision on what plans to include in your own investment mix.

Keep track of your investment mix

You’ll need to check your Mix Your plan investment mix is on track from time to time, because the mix you choose could change as markets fluctuate.

For example, if the Australian Shares component of your super outperforms other asset classes, your asset allocation will increasingly be weighted to Australian Shares.

You can have your plan rebalanced to check the percentage held in each asset class remains the same over time. If you have a GESB Super or West State Super account, you can choose to automatically rebalance your plan to your original election on a quarterly, six-monthly or annual basis. If you hold one of our Retirement Income Pension accounts, you’ll need to decide the right time to adjust your investment mix.
